EVALUATE WHERE YOU ARE & WHO YOU ARE.

To know where you are. Taken from the book of Romans 12:13 ” Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgement, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. The first and greatest barrier to change in any area of  your life is pride. We walk around trying to impress people and pretend like we’ve got it all together. The problem is, if you want to have a lasting change in your life, you first have to humble assess your current state and admit that you don’t have it all together. Evaluate where you are so that you can know where you should go.


CHANGE IS INTENTIONAL NOT BY ACCIDENT

Ephesians 4:22 says ” Throw off your old sinful nature and former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. ” Change requires making choices. It’s not enough to dream of changing. It’s not enough to desire change. In order for you to change, you will need to make decision. You must choose change. Change is intentional: Are you going to be different to start the year? Are you going to be better this year? Are you going to be more like God wants you to be?I an tell your answer right now: It will only happen if you choose to change, because it isn’t going to happen accidentally. It requires a choice. What practical steps do you need to take?


CHANGING THE WAY YOU THINK CHANGES YOUR BEHAVIOR

Let the Spirit renew  your thoughts and attitudes.- Ephesians 4:23. Change requires new thinking. In order to change, we must learn the truth and start making good  choices but, but we also must change the way we think. The battle for sin starts in your mind, not in your behavior. The way you think determines the way you feel, and the way you feel determines the way you act. If you want to change the way you act, you start by changing the way you think. In addition if you want to change the way you feel, you must start with changing the way you think.
