God wants whatever you’ve got. Are you willing to let go of it? In John 6: 5-6 Jesus asks ” where shall we buy bread for these people to eat? He asked this only to test him, for he already had in mind what he was going to do.” we need to understand this truth: God always has the answer before you even know the problem. It’s not too late in the day for Jesus. he saw your problem long before you did.He knew it was coming, and he already had a plan for it. God knows the solution to your problem. So why are you worrying ? Just admit you have an unsolvable problem, and then give God to do a miracle in your life, the first thing you have to do is to admit that you have a resolvable problem..
Hebrews 2:1 says that ” It’s crucial that we keep a firm grip on what we’ve heard so that we don’t drift off” As you grow spiritual maturity, you will have to cooperate with God in the process. One way to do that is to believe God is working in your life, even when you don’t feel it. Spiritual growth is sometimes tedious work, one small step at a time. Expect gradual improvement. The Bible says ” Everything on earth has its own time and its own season- Ecclesiastes 3:1 What season of spiritual growth are you in right now?
A reflection taken from 1 Corinthians 9:26 ” I run with a purpose in every step” God’s purpose for your life aren’t just for here and now; they are forever and ever. If you think this life is all there is , then you will set goals as if this life is all there is. On the other hand, if you realize one day you are going to stand before God- when He’s going to as ” What did you do while you were on earth? Did you learn the thing I put you there to learn? Did you trust my Son? – then it will shape how you look at your goals. Do your goals help to know God, grow in God, serve God, share God, love God and tell others about God? The Bible often compares life to race, so I want you to think about this: In a race, the finish line is predetermined, and you make progress one at a time. The same is true with your goals. you work on them one step at a time, and you work with purpose in every step.
If you wan to change , start with your thinking. Change requires new thinking. In order to change, we must learn the truth and start making good choice, but we also must change the way we think. It determines the way you feel, and the way you feel determines you feel the way you act. If you want to change the way you act, you start by changing the way you think. Start with your mind, and change the way you think about your relationships, the economy, the world, and your past, present, and the future. Changing the way you think will then affect your emotions and your behavior. As taken from the book of Ephesians 4:23 ” Let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes” Where can you get the power to make changes that you don’t think you can make on your own?
You have to choose change. Change requires making choices, it is intentional. It’s not enough to dream of changing. It’s enough to desire change. In order for you to change , you will need to to make a decision. You must choose to change. You may be stuck in the middle, and you’re going down because you haven’t let go off the old patterns , the old habits, and the old ways of thinking. You have thinking. You have to let go off your old ways. The Bible says ” Throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life – Ephesians 4:22 ” In other words: let it other words: let it go! What do you need to do once you make the choice to change? What steps will help you make forward?
Following Jesus is a decision and then a process for the rest of your life. You can’t follow without walking. You’ve got to have movement. Philippians 3: 12-13 says ” I don’t mean to say I’m perfect. I haven’t learn all I should even yet, but I keep working toward that day when I will finally be all that Christ saved me for and wants me to be. No, dear brothers , I’m still not all I should be.” Pride will keep you from growing , because when you pretend that you’ve got it all together, you won’t make an effort to become more spiritually mature. No one has it all together! Humility leads to happiness because it makes you teachable- happiness and humility go together. As taken from 2 Corinthians 13:5 ” Test yourself to make sure you are solid in the faith. Don’t drift along taking everything for granted. Give yourselves regular check ups. You need firsthand evidence, not mere hearsay, that Jesus Christ is in you. Test it out. If you fail the test , do something about it.”
A reflection taken from Proverbs 15:1 ” A gentle answer answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger”. Have you noticed that human beings have a tendency to mimic the emotions of people across from us? The reason we do this is because of mirror neurons in your brain. They allow you to sympathize and also to mirror what other people feel. Thus, a little tip will save you a lot of heartache and conflict in your life: When other people raise their voice, lower your,in your marriage , in your parenting,, friendship and at work. That’s called strength under control. Gentleness defuses conflicts . It deescalates anger. Instead of getting defensive, practice gentleness. Let your gentle answer disarm the other person and diffuse the situation.
A reflection taken from Micah 7:7 ” I trust the Lord God to save me, and I will wait for Him to answer my prayer” The Bible is clear that there are seasons in life, and one of the seasons that God talks about is the season of waiting. While you’re waiting, God is working. Don’t think that the season of waiting means that God has stopped working. He’s just taking you through that season because He’s using the time to work in the time to work in your circumstances for good. Ecclesiastes 3:11 says ” God has st the right time for everything” You’re going to spend a lot of time waiting. If you don’t figure out to trust God while you’re waiting, you’re going to spend a lot of your life not trusting God.
When you’re hoping for a miracle: Settle your destiny so you can help others do the same. let us pray. dear God, you are God and I’m not. You sent Jesus to be my savior, so I must need to be saved. I need you to forgive the things I’ve done wrong in life. I need you to give me a fresh start in life. I need you to help me know my purpose. I want to begin a relationship with you to come into my life. I want to learn to trust you. I want to learn to love you. I want to learn to love other people the way you want me to. So I ask you today with humility and honesty and sincerity to please same me as I put my trust in you. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
Often, the answer the answer to our prayer does not come while we’re on our knees but while we’re on our feet serving the Lord and serving those around us.
